Most of us see ourselves as Red Bull air race champions, or dream of doing dramatic flybys in a Red Devil. However, in reality our piloting skills don’t match up to our over active imaginations as we find out the hard way the first time we attempt to fly a remote control plane!

Unfortunately most remote control planes are far too delicate to survive our first attempt at a 9G loop the loop with inverted dive, the result being them ending up in several rather expensive pieces on a less than soft landing surface. However no more! This marvel of moden engineering, designed in tandem with the boffins at the science museum is made out of some fancy smancy ‘muscle memory plastic’.

This essentially means that it is virtually indestructable, and so when you drop it out of the sky from its top flying height of 60m or try and bend it out of shape just because you can it will always return back to its original shape!

If this wasn’t enough, the revolutionary joystick control makes flying it simple and intuitive, responding like a wii controller to the movements of your hand. Perfect for those of us who whenever we play a racing game or pilot any form of vehicle always lean the way we want to go (you know you do it too!).

All in all a brilliant buy for beginner flyers, children wanting to have their first remote controlled plane, or stunt enthusiasts wanting to test out their skills before perfoming them on their very expensive planes!

Certainly deserving the illustrious title of being the V.I.P (Virtually Indestructible Plane – See what we did there!) of RC planes. But seriously it is brilliant, and we had a lot of fun playing with it.

So here at Giftaholic we think this is the only remote control aeroplane we’ve found that is worth buying. It also happens to be the cheapest which is a bonus!

*** Especially now it’s on special offer both at the Science Museum and Eddie’s Essentials, meaning you save an extra 25% on an already fantastic price ***

Forget the latest slimmest, gazillion mabillion pixel camera, this is possibly the best photographic innovation ever, ok we may be exaggerating a smidge, but seriously, this is a fantastic bit of kit, and once you have one, you’ll wonder how you ever did without.

This flexible tripod makes your standard tripod look about as useful as a chocolate teapot, tasty but rubbish for taking photos with.

It may look like the evil aliens from War of the Worlds but rather than simply being hell bent on destroying the world, the specially constructed legs actually have a purpose! They flex 360 degrees, and are designed to securely hold your camera and grip onto literally anything!

So whether you plan on attaching it to a tree in the amazon jungle, the handle bars of your bmx, or for some more leisurely pursuit, it doesn’t matter, the Gorilla Flexipod will grip onto pretty much anything you care to attach it to.

So versatile you’ll wonder how you ever lived with out it, no more worrying whether the stranger you’ve asked to take your picture will run off with your brand new camera, or getting your arm in the picture as you try and take a self-potrait.

Just get out your Gorillapod, slot your camera into the adaptor, attach to the nearest surface and away you go. That’s right, away you go, go an order one today, you won’t be disappointed.

Available for both compact and SLR.

Can you guess what this cup is not made of? That’s right, this isn’t a paper cup it’s a double walled thermal porcelain cup actually and it’s proud to be different.

Forget for a moment the ‘I’m not a paper cup’s’ eco credentials, this permanent take on a take away design classic is perfect for those always on the move, can’t possibly slow down, far too busy people who want to replicate this in the comfort of their home.

Oh and also for those who like me have an asbestos tongue and like to keep their Coffee hotter than the sun for as long as possible.

Double-skinned to keep your hot drinks steaming hot for longer while also handily preventing you from losing a hand to third degree burns like with those flimsy paper versions! It even comes with a flexible silicon lid with handy drinking hole for making loud slurping noises while preventing accidental spillages over all those big important documents that you’re always working on.

So set a trend in your office, the ‘i’m not a paper cup’ is so much cooler than a boring old chipped china mug and far more practical, say no to paper and switch to this eco friendly doppelganger!

Ok back to eco credentials, this cup will even keep the most hardcore of the unwashed eco brigade happy because this is the only cup you ever need to own. So put your mochafrapamichino
where you mouth is and make sure your cup isn’t one of the 18.5 million take away cups that is thrown away each year ending up in UK landfills.

Some of our nations favourite purveyors of the intravenous caffeine drips that we hurriedly wash down on the way to work, like Starbucks will even give a discount to those of us that proudly bring our own ‘I’m not a paper cup’ instead of using one of their disposable take away versions.

So for the price of a couple of grande cappuccinos and an over priced muffin this cup will start paying for itself in no time at all, plus you’ll instantly become cooler as soon as you buy it. Unlike your coffee, which of course will remain hotter.

Grab yours today and make your coffee count towards a happier, healthy planet, and of course a cheaper latte.

Everyone loves TV. Fact. Everyone loves Sci-Fi. Fact. Ok, not everyone, but it does seem to make a lot of people dress up and stand in line for the premier of films for what seems like seven years before they’re even filmed.

This amazing little ray gun, is so fantastically 50′s it’s brilliant. From a time where special effects were bad, the acting was rubbish, and the budgets were small, but hey that’s why we loved them. We all know Star-wars was way better when the world hadn’t quite got the hang of computers much less special effects.

Fashioned to look like one those ridiculous ray guns from a bad straight to tv movie, this TV remote not only changes the volume or channels on your television but also makes a “Pe-chaow!” when you pull the trigger! How brilliant is that!

Take me to your tv

Compatiable with most TV’s this battery operated ray gun remote can be programmed to perform one function at a time, although sadly transmogrifying aliens in to a puddle of goop or banishing a dark lord to another dimension are a little beyond it’s real life capabilities.

However, you are only limited by your imagination, so if you fancy playing out your sci-fi fantasy round the house, or hiding behind the sofa during Doctor Who while beating the Daleks into oblivion, then you should buy this now before they take over the world.

That by the way is a command from the Supreme Overlord of the planet Zerninion, who feels it just wouldn’t be a fair fight otherwise. Or you could just use it to turn on Eastenders.

Morph was born in 1977 and from the moment he emerged from Tony Hart’s pencil case he became a massive star!

He never made much sense talking wise, speaking some strange gobbledygook language, but he was always able to use his body language and his ability to morp into almost anything to get his point accross!

Rumours of his demise in the 2005 fire at the Aardman Animation studios has been much exagerated and Morph managed to escape using Walace and Grommit’s motorbike, with Chaz riding pillion, fighting off the fire with Wendsleydale cheese.

Better still, to celebrate being thirty and making it out of that fire alive Morph is back to entertain a whole new generation of fans. The only catch is that although he escaped, the heat seems to have affected his molecular strucutre and it’s up to you to morph him back into his true form.

Never fear though, this officially licensed Ardman Animation pack comes with everything you need to make him better. Three blocks of plasicene, five fun accessories – including a cricket bat (to hit chaz upside the head), a wizards hat (so he can pretend to be Harry Potter), a beard (to use as a disguise when Chaz realises who hit him round the head) and a comic book.

Oh yeah, and most importantly it comes with an instructional DVD that contains a how-to guide, to tell you how to morph your placticene into the one and only Morph. As there is no special Morph mould (well that would spoil all the fun) your first attempts may look a bit like you hit him with the cricket bat, but soon you’ll get as good as Tony Hart himself.

In fact, we reckon you won’t be able to resist constantly re-aranging him and squishing (sorry, morphing) him into new shapes. My Own Morph is fun for all ages, and even if you’re younger than we are and don’t remember him the first time round, the 15 classic Morph adventures on the DVD will soon make you the best of friends.

I can almost hear the Hart Attack theme music and the reassuring voice of Tony Heart just thinking about it

We here at Giftaholic.co.uk are not the most fond of sprouts and are always looking at ways to make sure they don’t beome part of our Christmas Dinner. Then we came across these fantastic things, sprouts that instead of tasting like old socks (which we also don’t like!), come in crackers and race around your dining room table.

Each cracker comes with the customary, bang, hat and bad joke that form a staple of your christmas day tradition but each one comes with a wind up ‘sprinting sprout’ so that you and your family can race them round the special track that comes on the back of the box.

Like the bat crackers we had at Halloween, we found these lots of fun, providing far more entertainment than should be expected from a cracker! Now for our bad Christmas joke. Isn’t it ‘asprout’ time you ordered yours.

And if that brilliant joke wasn’t reason enough, how about this, Hawkin’s Bazaar are offering a special deal, with buy one, get one free to accommodate even the largest of families, so think ahead and stock up for next christmas! Simply add 2 boxes to your basket and the discount will be added automatically.

Forget shaken or stirred, James Bond has nothing on this drinks factory, have your drinks mixed the Chugaglug way!

Stick the Chugalug Drinks Factory to the front of your fridge and enjoy alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks in the most crazy way possible! The best thing is, you can arrange them in any order you want, let the crazyness begin!

Like Willy Wonker’s Chocolate Factory for grown-ups this contraption is fantastic for parties, events and BBQ’s! Pour your mixers in at the top and watch in amazement as they make their tipsy ( ummmm. topsy) turvy journey to the bottom.

There’ll be so much splashing, whizzing, churning and crazy fun that your guests won’t believe their eyes! When the show is over, turn the tap for the perfectly mixed, and chilled party drink time after time!

Comes with:
2 x vortex funnels where you pour in your booze and mixer
1 x the mill’ the paddles mix you drink as it goes through
1 x the propeller’ aerates and churns you drink to perfection

If you’re a fan of puzzles and brain teasers or know somebody who can’t resist a challenge then you need to make sure this is your next party piece. Or if you have a friend with a birthday coming up why not buy them this, their sure to appreciate the booze locked safely away inside all the more once they solve it in time for their next birthday!

Another ingenious use for this toughest of all puzzles is to safeguard your more valuable bottles of alcohol during even the most raucous of parties. Even the most determined of guests will fail in their attempts to raid your drinks cabinet. So even if they do manage to breach the outer perimeter, they will find themselves up against the brick wall that is the vice don’t break the bottle puzzle leaving them empty handed and thirsty!
