Memory sticks may be getting smaller and smaller but thanks to a combination of Lego and modern technology they’ve definitely got a whole lot cooler!

The average usb memory stick is so boring that they’re almost as snooze worthy as the computer geek who can reel off the stats of how fast the data transfers to your computer or how many million billion gigabits it holds, when all you really want to know is how much of your music collection will it hold while still allowing space for that presentation you’ve been working on for weeks!

So what is the answer, well the Lego brick USB stick of course, bringing together building bricks and a usb stick, genius!

With a choice of three different colours and 2 different sizes (2gb and 4gb) you can snap them together and build your own usb stick Lego toy, or if one is enough for you then you can even attach it to real Lego bricks, so really the fun you can have is limited only by your imagination. Just think your own Star Wars or Indiana Jones Lego character usb stick, now wouldn’t that be cool!

Whatever you do just don’t drop it in a bucket of Lego or you’ll never find it again as the usb bit is clevery locked away inside the brick and you’ll end up trying to open lego bricks all day long.

But never fear because it comes with a lanyard and keyring to prevent such mishaps, i mean everyone has a bucket of lego just sitting around don’t they?

Here at Giftaholic.co.uk we think this is one of the coolest solutions to data storage that there is going, especially if you grew up in the 80s like us and love these retro twists on modern gadgets. So what you waiting for, get building those memory bricks.

Everyone loves TV. Fact. Everyone loves Sci-Fi. Fact. Ok, not everyone, but it does seem to make a lot of people dress up and stand in line for the premier of films for what seems like seven years before they’re even filmed.

This amazing little ray gun, is so fantastically 50’s it’s brilliant. From a time where special effects were bad, the acting was rubbish, and the budgets were small, but hey that’s why we loved them. We all know Star-wars was way better when the world hadn’t quite got the hang of computers much less special effects.

Fashioned to look like one those ridiculous ray guns from a bad straight to tv movie, this TV remote not only changes the volume or channels on your television but also makes a “Pe-chaow!” when you pull the trigger! How brilliant is that!

Take me to your tv

Compatiable with most TV’s this battery operated ray gun remote can be programmed to perform one function at a time, although sadly transmogrifying aliens in to a puddle of goop or banishing a dark lord to another dimension are a little beyond it’s real life capabilities.

However, you are only limited by your imagination, so if you fancy playing out your sci-fi fantasy round the house, or hiding behind the sofa during Doctor Who while beating the Daleks into oblivion, then you should buy this now before they take over the world.

That by the way is a command from the Supreme Overlord of the planet Zerninion, who feels it just wouldn’t be a fair fight otherwise. Or you could just use it to turn on Eastenders.

Warning: When playng this game you can become extremely competitive, so don’t make any bets you can’t afford to pay. We learnt the hard way that getting the ball in the cup in one go is not that easy!

Morph was born in 1977 and from the moment he emerged from Tony Hart’s pencil case he became a massive star!

He never made much sense talking wise, speaking some strange gobbledygook language, but he was always able to use his body language and his ability to morp into almost anything to get his point accross!

Rumours of his demise in the 2005 fire at the Aardman Animation studios has been much exagerated and Morph managed to escape using Walace and Grommit’s motorbike, with Chaz riding pillion, fighting off the fire with Wendsleydale cheese.

Better still, to celebrate being thirty and making it out of that fire alive Morph is back to entertain a whole new generation of fans. The only catch is that although he escaped, the heat seems to have affected his molecular strucutre and it’s up to you to morph him back into his true form.

Never fear though, this officially licensed Ardman Animation pack comes with everything you need to make him better. Three blocks of plasicene, five fun accessories – including a cricket bat (to hit chaz upside the head), a wizards hat (so he can pretend to be Harry Potter), a beard (to use as a disguise when Chaz realises who hit him round the head) and a comic book.

Oh yeah, and most importantly it comes with an instructional DVD that contains a how-to guide, to tell you how to morph your placticene into the one and only Morph. As there is no special Morph mould (well that would spoil all the fun) your first attempts may look a bit like you hit him with the cricket bat, but soon you’ll get as good as Tony Hart himself.

In fact, we reckon you won’t be able to resist constantly re-aranging him and squishing (sorry, morphing) him into new shapes. My Own Morph is fun for all ages, and even if you’re younger than we are and don’t remember him the first time round, the 15 classic Morph adventures on the DVD will soon make you the best of friends.

I can almost hear the Hart Attack theme music and the reassuring voice of Tony Heart just thinking about it
